Tiger Ogawa joined Tokyo Century Corporation (TC) in 1998 in Tokyo. Since then, he has held positions of increasing responsibility in TC. From 2011 to 2014, Tiger served as Managing Director of Century Tokyo Capital (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. In that position, he built a top-ranked leasing company in Malaysia. Prior to that assignment he worked at Tokyo Leasing (USA) Inc., the forerunner to TCUSA, as SVP and National Sales Director for the US market for a period of 9 years. Tiger serves concurrently as a Director of Isuzu Finance of America, Inc., a Director of CT Telesis Investment Inc., and President of TC Realty Investments Inc.

David Van Zyl oversees marketing, business development, credit and operations for the Global Vendor segment. He is responsible for expanding this segment from traditionally supporting Japanese credits in North America to servicing captive finance organizations, vendors and bank partners around the world. Dave has 19 years of experience in commercial finance and leasing with leadership roles in managing new business originations, credit and operations, vendor/ dealer relations and portfolio management. Prior to TCUSA, he was AVP and Manager of Hitachi Capital America’s wholesale finance business. He holds a B.S. degree in Finance from Bryant University, Smithfield, RI and is an active member of ELFA and Material Handling Equipment Distribution Association (MHEDA)

Juan Canlas has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, focused primarily in the management of Information Technology. This includes the design, construction and delivery of mission-critical business systems, IT strategic alignment, process analysis/reengineering and management of IT services. Prior to joining TCUSA in 2015, Juan was a member of a startup management team that launched a franchise lending company where he built the IT infrastructure and implemented all of the business systems. Juan has an MBA degree from Fordham University in NY and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Hiroko Shimada leads the Accounting and General Affairs teams.  She is responsible for managing the accounting function of the company as well as generating financial reports needed by senior management in the US and Japan.  Her team is tasked with forecasting cash flow positions, managing the related borrowing needs and ensuring there are available funds for investment as needed, payment applications.  Hiroko has been a key member of the management team in the US for 20 years.  Prior to moving to the US to join TCUSA, she worked in the Tokyo office of a major American investment bank dedicated to trading Japanese government bonds, non-Japanese government bonds, equities and derivatives.  While working for this bank, Hiroko helped establish the bank’s Financial Division in Hong Kong.

Patrick Burns manages the day-to-day operational functions for the TCUSA portfolio. He has been with the company for 9 years. Prior to that, he worked for CIT, Citicorp and Copelco Capital and has a background in commercial vehicle finance, office technology and IT products, telecommunications, electronic test and measurement, graphic arts and healthcare equipment. He is experienced in portfolio management, customer service, remedial collections, workout activity, transaction cycle processing and asset remarketing. Pat received his B.A. degree in Economics from Seton Hall University and has an MBA in Management from the University of Maryland. He is a member of the ELFA, National Association of Professional Appraisers and a Trustee for the Park Ridge (NJ) Athletic Association.

Adam Ramirez is charged with overseeing the credit and risk operations for TCUSA. In particular, he oversees a team of analysts underwriting credit decisions for Isuzu Finance of America, Inc. He has 21 years of both in the US and Mexico experience in commercial vehicle financing and leasing, and has been with the company for last 9 years. His initial focus was establishing and growing the IFAI business portfolio. Adam completed the management training program with a major NY bank, has 3 years of corporate bank experience in Australia and 4 years managing the turn-around of a captive finance company based in Mexico. Adam holds a B.A. degree from Harvard University and is a graduate of the Advanced Management College at Stanford University.

Daniel Lemire serves as the General Counsel and oversees contract and funding operations for all TCUSA lines of business, direct and indirect. His group is responsible for drafting and negotiating all vendor purchase agreements. Dan has over 25 years in commercial equipment leasing and finance, advising captive, bank-owned and independent leasing/finance organizations, covering a variety of markets including IT, machine tool, medical equipment, aircraft, etc. Prior to TCUSA, he was involved in the creation of de novo legal department, and a member of an acquirer group that successfully conducted a management-led buyout. Dan holds a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in Boston, MA and a B.A. from the University of Connecticut. He is admitted to practice law in the States of Connecticut and New York, and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
